1. Detransitioning. A woman won a $2 million medical malpractice lawsuit in NY a week or so ago. The lawsuit is the first major medical malpractice lawsuit against the medical mutilation establishment that grew like weeds during the Biden years. It is a significant result as NY at all levels of government completely embraced the transitioning hysteria, erecting all manner of legal impediments against lawsuits brought by people who were not happy with the surgery, hormones, treatment or results. There are at least 30 other lawsuits in process across the nation. This lawsuit is a start rather than finish. The mutilation took place when the girl was 16, expressed as a double mastectomy. The girl and her mother were both convinced by the docs that she was suicidal and would likely kill herself if the surgery did not take place, which pressured both of them into agreeing to the surgery. The docs did not consider or offer any other approach, no other options, which ended up being the basis of the verdict. She does not believe the verdict was sufficient, as the damage by the surgery and the hormones was so much worse than she expected. OTOH, a basic human life is in the neighborhood of $2-5 million in the actuarial tables, so perhaps the jury, however poorly got it right. I predict the upcoming lawsuit net will expand to grab participating surgeons, psychologists, therapists, medical establishments, hospitals, public health and educators as the lawsuit machine cranks up to levels unseen since the tobacco wars of the 1990s. And it is long past time that machine grinds these vermin who ground the futures of so many confused youngsters in pursuit of a continuing paycheck for decades afterwards into dust. Great business model, but fundamentally evil.
2. Fulton County. The FBI raided Fulton County GA election center 10 days ago, seizing hundreds of boxes of ballots. Fulton County (Atlanta) was in the center of sketchy election activities during the 2020 election. There is a room full of ballots that has been rigorously kept off limits from all attempts to see what was in it since the election. I suspect that room was emptied. Also in attendance was DNI Tulsi Gabbard at the request of President Trump. The DNI does not attend unless there is a National Security component (think foreign nation participation) in the festivities. As of this writing, the lawfare is in full swing with at least one judge ordering the boxes to be unsealed by the FBI. Fulton County election officials were not pleased with the raid. Why is this important? Fulton County demonstrates the great confluence of fraud in the 2020 election – local fraud by Fulton County (all democrat), active support of the fraud by the state judiciary (also democrat), active support by the state Secretary of State, Brad Raffersperger, nominal Republican) and the Governor, Brian Kemp. Both Kemp and Raffensperger are strong and continued defenders of whatever went on in Fulton County as pristine, without anything questionable. While I can understand Raffensperger as simple bureaucratic CYA, once you add Kemp, this starts smelling overripe, especially given both are virulent anti-Trumpers. Maybe it’s a good outcome that Kemp decided not to run for US Senate. Maybe Kemp is telling us something. OTOH, neither will be elected to anything on the national or statewide level again. I hope it was worth it, guys.
3. Replacement. Anyone else remember when the democrats scoffed at replacement theory, the notion that they were importing new voters via uncontrolled immigration, replacing people who are no longer voting for them with those who will? Socialists controlling Spain just demonstrated the truth of that theory, announcing they were going to immediately regularize (legalize) 500 – 800,000 illegals in Spain. Politically, this will nicely stop Spanish socialist slippage in recent elections, something I am sure is completely disconnected from the decision (/sarc).
4. Artemis. NASA scrubbed a full fueling test of its Artemis II moon rocket last week over excessive hydrogen leaks. The second flight of Artemis is kind of a big deal as it represents the first return to the moon in half a century. The engines burn liquid hydrogen as fuel. H2 is tricky to deal with because the molecule is small and light, making it difficult to control and leaks even harder to detect, though we have been using liquid hydrogen in our rockets for over 60 years (Saturn). The first Artemis flight was successful, though it took five attempts to get it off the pad. The Orion capsule had problems with its heat shield upon reentry, evolving large chunks off during reentry. The Artemis II will take a crew of 4 around the moon, making the first human return to the vicinity in 50 years. There is a lot of noise about the capsule, its life support system, and the rocket itself being untested. People have short memories, as the first shuttle flight was manned. At the time, there was substantial skepticism that it would come off the pad intact, and that was before they found out about the twang, the flexing of the entire stack during engine start. Aerospace is a hard business. Every single airframe you see flying did its very first powered flight manned, something that started with the Wright Brothers in 1903, though they did upwards of 1,000 unpowered flight tests 1900 – 1902. Will NASA get this right? Unknown. For me, the biggest problem with Artemis is that it will never fly often enough for failures necessary to learn how to operate it, the same mistake NASA made with Shuttle. If you don’t tolerate failure and learn from it, you set the stage for catastrophic, life ending failures, both of which (Challenger and Columbia) ended the Shuttle program.
5. Stolen Land. One of the leftist virtue signaling mantras that I despise the very most is the land acknowledgement, an anti-Western, anti-white, anti-American diatribe dutifully acknowledging that the land you are standing on was stolen, stolen, I say, from their rightful owners, the indigenous peoples who were there first. Of course, there is never any discussion about the way the indigenous people claimed ownership of those lands in the first place, normally by slaughtering everyone they could and enslaving the women and children who survived the hostile takeover. In recent centuries, land transfer has become a bit less kinetic, with transfer done by transfer of money, property exchange, or quiet invasion like we are currently seeing in Europe. But the old-fashioned technique of shoving everyone else out and planting a flag is still used from time to time. The land acknowledgement celebrates losers who did not have the military wherewithal to defend whatever they thought was theirs from those that disagreed. It does not acknowledge that land was transferred the old-fashioned way since the start of human history, the same way most of the animal kingdom operates today when they mark and defend their territory. The other disconnect is the notion that the indigenous owned land. Most of them were nomadic until agriculture was created, chasing food sources as those sources and their availability changed over the years, which opens a new fun discussion into precisely what indigenous ownership property claims mean. All that being said, land acknowledgment came up at the Grammy’s last week, which turned into a veritable orgy of virtue signaling and the artists fell all over one another trying to out-woke one another. One that got the attention of many on the right was singer Billie Eilish who opened her anti-ICE diatribe by claiming to be standing on stolen land. That was the high point of her speech. Interesting claim, that as Ms Eilish owns a $3-4 million mansion that is on land formerly claimed by the Tongva tribe. What does she plan on doing about this? This little factoid spawned one of the more hilarious tsunami of memes since the Minneapolis riots with Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas‘ Warren playing a starring role. Eilish is only 23, so I wouldn’t be too hard on her. When you are young and dumb, you are generally young and dumb. We will hope she learns a bit from her festive event, most importantly that virtue signaling is flirting with career suicide as you also choose to alienate half your audience current and future.

6. Homeless. Newly ensconced NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s “warm embrace of socialism” is turning out to be deadly to the city’s homeless population, with over 17 dead of hypothermia over the recent cold spell. Homeless people always have problems when it gets cold outside, even (or especially) up here in AK. Under former mayor Adams, the encampments were broken up, forcing the campers into local shelters when it got really cold. Under the Muslim Democratic Socialist, Mamdani, breaking up the campgrounds on sidewalks is too inhumane, so he allows them to freeze to death outside, an example of how deadly compassion his world actually is.
7. Hospices. The next center of democrat fraud being uncovered appears to be in LA, where over 30% of all Hospice businesses in the US are located. Investigation of this by California State Auditor and HHS detailed in a Mar 2022 report found that over 31% of all Medicare-certified hospice agencies in the US were located in LA County. Contrast this with LA County having only 1.5 million seniors, roughly 2.5% of the 58 million seniors in the US. There are over 2,000 hospice providers in LA County, 112 of them licensed at a single address. The increase in this grift took place 2010 – 2020. Perhaps 18% of the national home healthcare billing takes place in LA County. Dr Oz, head of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, estimates over $3.5 billion in fraud with the problem growing by a factor of 7 over the last five years, a number which is 5 years after the previous number. Looks like there is a substantial error in the increase in fraud numbers.
8. Rents. Finally, there is some good news out of Cali. Rents in the LA metro area have dropped to a four year low as of late 2025 – early 2026. Local media is blaming the improvement on a surge in new, large apartment development, a shift in demand, partly due to population exodus, and a shift in rentals from short-term to long-term. When you remove millions of people from the nation, all with taxpayer-supported welfare, you by definition improve the marketplace for renters, who the illegals competed for housing with. Average rental for a 1-bedroom apartment in LA is in the $2,100 – 2,300 range. This is down 9.1% over the course of the last year. Like it or not, Trump is working the affordability issue democrats foolishly handed him on a silver platter.
9. BioLab. Law enforcement last week raided a second Chinese-connected biolab in a residential home, this one in Las Vegas. The first of these was found in a Reedly home, Fresno County, Cali in late 2023. The Chinese citizen operating the lab was arrested for distributing misbranded medical items, jailed and is awaiting trial in April. The Vegas home appears to be similar, with multiple refrigerators, freezer, and lab equipment for dealing with pathogens. The home also operated as a B&B, which means the owner / operator was conducting real time testing on humans. Maid staff for the B&B reported sicknesses regularly making the rounds of the business. Over 1,000 samples were collected. The raid was based on reports of lab equipment and potentially hazardous materials stored in the building. The jailed owner of the Reedy home also owns the Vegas B&B. Law enforcement in Vegas also searched a second home but found nothing. The property manager for both homes in Vegas was arrested and released by a local judge. The CCP is all-in on winning their long war with the West by any means necessary. Whether they can do it before their population implodes completely is another thing entirely.
